Part 2 Restoration of a 1974 Jeep CJ5 - Take some Photos
After catching up catching up adding writing this post, I can add a little advice. Take lots and lots of photos as you go. I will admit I didn't take nearly enough, and I often found myself fumbling through the photos hoping to catch a glimpse of where a part went, or how it went, and sometimes even what it was for.
Photo it, mark it, sharpie it tape it together, put the bolts in a marked baggie, whatever it takes. It's well worth the extra time.
I've still got some braces that I can't figure out how they go back on. And maybe they were never even on this jeep, after all it had a couple of worn out cardboard boxes of extra parts and pieces that somehow all got jumbled together. It is really nice to be able to look back at how things were put together before you started taking it apart.
